Determining the usability of mechanical ventilator interfaces is vital in ensuring correct usage under critical procedures that can place patients’ health danger. Heuristic evaluation has been used to evaluate many different areas, including medical devices. The objective this study a using heuristic method. simulator (Drager's Evita V500) was performed Evaluation System Checklist (HESC). Three evaluators took part experiment assessing through HESC. results show 292 checklist sub-heuristics included HESC Checklist, 127 were compliant (had no flaws), 75 not flaws) and 95 applicable. point out should be improved avoid human error due issues. also generates large quantity information, which provides an exhaustive identification aspects improved.
